Purchase of Mapleton Mobile Home Park

MHA has partnered with

to purchase Mapleton from the City (see History). Thistle will own the park as part of its Community Land Trust. MHA will lease the land from Thistle and rent the homesites to individual residents.

A partnership agreement is being formalized between our two organizations. Once completed, that agreement will be available on this web site. Meanwhile, we have two letters of intent from MHA to Thistle that document our committment to the partnership.

Boulder's City Council passed a resolution on January 2, 2001, supporting the MHA's negotiations with City Staff on all the details of the purchase. An amendment was passed on August 21, 2001, clarifying the roles and relationship of MHA and Thistle. Most importantly, it declares the intent of the City to sell the Park to Thistle to join the Community Land Trust, and for MHA to lease the land from Thistle and manage the Park.
